After six years inside other people's stacks, I wanted one of my own. Not something to scale — something to own. A site I can rebuild from a terminal at 2am, on a flight, anywhere.
What's on it
A wordmark hero, three chapters — Writing, Work, About — and a contact pill. Editorial type, generous whitespace, restrained palette. The whole thing is one HTML file, one CSS file, and a few lines of vanilla JS. No framework. No build step.
What's under it
The site runs on my own Kubernetes cluster. GitHub Actions builds the image and pushes it to a registry; an in-cluster rollout handles the rest. The cluster hosts a few other things, but choses.cool is the front door.
Kubernetes and the terminal are my safe place.
What's next
More notes — short pieces on infra, automation, and shipping things alone. Work entries land here as projects mature. This site is the anchor; everything else hangs off it.
